Marla Brackman

Owner and Head Coach

After incurring a knee injury (ACL) during a basketball game as a teenager, Marla Brackman’s interest in human movement, injury prevention, health, and performance was birthed.  She completed her B.S. in Exercise Science from Montana State University and acquired her Group Fitness and Personal Training Certification through the American Council on Exercise.  Since then, Marla has brought her upbeat and fun loving attitude into her classes and training sessions while utilizing a variety of exercise formats and modalities.

Opening Elevate fulfilled Marla's long time goal of one day of owning and operating her own gym. She has pooled together her twenty years of experience in the health and fitness industry to build a training facility of the highest quality that utilizes the best training methods within the industry. Marla desires Elevate to not only be a "fun place" to work out, but to help each member understand how they can MOVE, FEEL, and PERFORM Better. ʉ۬

In her personal life, you can find Marla hanging out with her family and following her two kids around with their various sport, school, and extracurricular activities.  One of her favorite family time activity is going up into the mountains to camp, hike, fish, and huckleberry pick. Marla is married to her college sweetheart Steve Brackman and together they have two children, Drew and Rylee.

After completing a degree in English Creative Writing, Peter started training and coaching WOW (Women on Weights) at the Courthouse Gym in Missoula, Montana. From there he moved to the YMCA Missoula with a mission to learn the most effective and efficient exercise science to share with clients, members and classes. Peter spent the next decade learning and refining his craft to train and coach athletes seeking the next level, work with people to lose weight, navigate exercise for clients with chronic injury or illness, help people find the joy in exercise and lead by example. During his time at the Y, Peter developed and coached many classes including CORE, Family Fitness, Metabolic Madness as well as dry land training for the Missoula Y Swim Team.

Peter moved to Hamilton, Montana in 2020 looking to work at a gym with a like-minded exercise philosophy.
